Diversity and Inclusion

Since its founding, San Francisco Day School has been committed to a diverse and inclusive community. We recognize the fundamental value of diversity as central to learning and working in the world of today and tomorrow.

The members of the SF Day community—Board, faculty, staff, students, and families—are committed to sustaining a truly welcoming and inclusive environment where each person knows and feels that his/her whole identity, seen or unseen, is known, acknowledged, and appreciated.

As our community continues to work together to create a diverse and inclusive community and to develop cross-cultural competence, we wanted to provide helpful resources to support our ongoing journey.  We created this ever-expanding list of resources based on materials recommended by local and national diversity practitioners. If you'd like to suggest additional resources or have any comments or questions, please reach out to our co-directors of diversity:  Betsy Brody (bbrody@sfds.net) and Loren Moye (lmoye@sfds.net).

We will continue to build and refine this list, and look forward to hearing your thoughts on the resources. Thank you for your time and for helping our community maintain an open and honest dialogue.
